Discover the Italian Riviera on this day trip to the famous Portofino and Santa Margherita towns, directly from Milan.
The tour will begin with your private driver collecting you from your hotel in Milan (or another custom location in the area) with a luxury sedan or minivan, after a 2hr drive you will reach Genoa, well known city the important role of the port on the Mediterranean Sea.
Upon your arrival in Genoa, you will meet your licensed private guide and together with the driver you will learn about the ancient and more recent history of this charming city.
Land of sailors and artists, Liguria gave birth to Christopher Columbus, Andrea Doria and more recently to the great violinist Paganini, amongst the others. The Doria Family had a leading role in the city for many decades, leaving a huge contribution in art, architecture and the city planning. You will visit the ‘Villa del Principe – Doria Palace’ a true Italian Renaissance majestic construction, decorated with elegant frescoes by Perin del Vaga.
From Genova, together with your private driver and licensed guide you will proceed towards ‘east’, along the coastal road, reaching the very beautiful and peaceful village of Camogli, known for the fishermen, the typical pasta and hand-made biscuits, if time allows, you can enjoy a coffee-break and some local sightseeing.
You will then proceed, once again with driver and guide to Santa Margherita Ligure, one of the most beautiful and elegant towns of the Italian Riviera, famous location for the top-tier political meetings and international conventions. After that, in a few other minutes, you will reach the last and most important town of the area: Portofino. Known all over the world for the jet-set lifestyle blending to the real authentic Italian ‘Dolce Vita’ – a breathtaking view of the bay will be enjoyed from the car while driving to destination, on the scenic road.
Portofino bay is populated all year long by luxurious yachts and sail-boats, characterizing the village with a colorful and elegant fashion. You will have some free time, together with the guide, to enjoy a nice lunch with regional food and local wine. If weather conditions allows, this last transfer from Santa Margherita Ligure to Portofino can be operated by water-taxi, otherwise provided by car. – boats tickets are included.
The tour will then conclude with a transfer back to your hotel in Milan or other selected location.

Santa Margherita Ligure is a beautiful and shining coastal town with prestigious yachting clubs, marinas, majestic hotels and top quality restaurants.
Portofino is a luxurious tiny village surrounded by small pastel houses. It is famous for its picturesque harbour and historical association with celebrity and artistic visitors.
In about 3h you will reach back your hotel in Milan.
